Meet Our Staff

The staff consists of counselors, social workers, interns and support staff with diverse backgrounds. Members of our staff include:

Acting Director

Nikki Allen DyerNikki Allen Dyer, LCSW-C, Acting Director,
Nikki joined the counseling staff in 2014. She was a graduate intern in the Counseling Center and earned a Master of Social Work from Salisbury University in May 2013. In 2000, she earned a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration from the College of William and Mary and has previously worked in multiple areas of Student Affairs to include SU’s Office of Student Disability Support Services.

Senior Staff

 Dawn HarnerDawn Harner, LCSW-C, Training Coordinator/Counselor,
Dawn joined our staff in August 2005. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Salisbury University in 1996 and earned her graduate degree in social work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 1998. She joined the Counseling Center after working at the Worcester County Health Department for nine years providing therapy to children, adolescents, and families. In addition, Dawn oversees the Training Program and provides clinical supervision for graduate interns seeking careers in counseling, psychology, and social work. She is registered with the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners to practice clinical supervision for advanced licensure. Dawn has also completed SIGMA’s Basic and Advanced Threat Assessment And Management Trainings and is a member of ATAP (Association of Threat Assessment Professionals).

Sabrina joined the Counseling Center as a part-time staff member in 2014. She earned her undergraduate degree in educational psychology in 2003 from the University of Asmara in Eritrea, East Africa. She later completed two graduate degree programs from Ohio University, including the Master of Arts in International Affairs (MAIA), and the Master of Social Work (MSW) in 2009. Prior to joining our staff, she worked at various refugee resettlement agencies that served diverse populations in Columbus, Ohio, and Atlanta, Georgia. Currently, she is a full-time counselor and a licensed social worker (LMSW) in the state of Maryland.

Cassidy ZellerCassidy Zeller, LCPC, Counselor,
Cassidy joined the counseling staff in 2015. She earned her undergraduate degree in psychology at Millersville University in 2009, and her graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling from Shippensburg University in 2014. She was working at an outpatient agency providing mental health and drug and alcohol counseling to clients of all ages in Pennsylvania before joining our staff.
