Mission and Values

Welcome to the Center for Extended and Lifelong Learning, one of Salisbury University’s newest departments. The Center connects the community and the University in two ways, through professional and leadership development programs and also through an array of enriching lifelong learning programs covering a variety of interests.

We are an evolving department, so please check back often to our website to see what is new at the Center! We are looking for your feedback, so if you have an idea for a course, program or instructor, please let us know. Mission

In an academic setting The Center for Extended and Lifelong Learning provides skill-building and enrichment opportunities for all lifelong learners, expands professional networks and personal communities and promotes the expertise of Salisbury University.

Values

Learn. Live. Lead

The Center’s values reflect the University’s commitment to a fully integrated life.  Lifelong learning is an engaging process that begins in childhood, is enhanced through adulthood and flourishes into retirement. The Center’s programs celebrate formal and informal education and the possibilities that come from discovery. Eleanor Roosevelt, First Lady of the United States and world leader said: “Life must be lived and curiosity kept alive.”
