We are currently recruiting for the 2019-20 service year!

HOPECorps, the new AmeriCorps program at Salisbury University, is seeking competent and energetic individuals who want to join the national service movement by serving community efforts addressing the opioid crisis and educating the public on substance use disorders on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. HOPECorps will be partnering with sites in Somerset, Wicomico, Worcester, Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Talbot, and Queen Anne’s Counties.

AmeriCorps members with HOPECorps serve for at least 48 weeks in positions providing Narcan training, heroin and opioid prevention education to the public, parent and family support services, health education programs, a variety of community outreach activities and volunteer recruitment and management.

HOPECorps is an AmeriCorps State Program, working under the oversight of the Governor's Office on Service and Volunteerism (GOSV) in Maryland. The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) oversees AmeriCorps Programs across the country.

The 2018-19 service year will begin no earlier than August 15th, 2018. Position start dates are flexible and remain open until filled.
