Dr. Fiala brings a wealth of expertise in academic leadership (most recently serving as Interim and Associate Dean of the Seidel School of Education & Professional Studies), demonstrated support of leadership development and program restructuring, as well as disciplinary expertise in athletic training, sports medicine, and program evaluation and assessment.
Special Assistants to the Provost
Drs. Bob Joyner and Deborah Mathews are serving as special assistants to Provost in support of the roll-out of the College of Health & Human Services. They are working closely with faculty in various programs as well as the Registrar’s Office, Faculty Senate, the academic deans, the SU Foundation, and others to anticipate and facilitate transition issues. A focus for the spring 2018 semester will be determining the appropriate allocation of space and administrative support and continued synergy and discussion among faculty in the CHHS academic programs.
