Attachment & Biobehavioral Catchup (ABC) Program

Through a partnership with the Wicomico County Department of Social Services, the Attachment and Biobehavioral Catchup (ABC) Program identifies children from birth to age five who have experienced, or are, vulnerable to adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). The program is designed to enhance early caregiver attachment and mitigate the potentially harmful effects of ACEs.

Parent training is provided to enhance early caregiver attachment and mitigate the potentially harmful effects of ACEs. Play-based therapy sessions include basic emotional regulation strategies and activities that promote social skills and academic foundations.

Intervention strategies are implemented by an MSW intern, supervised and trained to engage within their scope of practice.
