This update fixes some registry and security problems in Microsoft Office
2000. You should install this update if you are running a stand-alone version
of Microsoft Office 2000. Users that access the Microsoft Office 2000 suite
through the Netware Application Launcher (NAL) do not need to apply this
update. To determine if your standalone copy of Microsoft Office has the SR-1a
update installed, go to Microsoft's "How
to tell if the SR-1a update has been applied" page. The Office
2000 Service Release 1a (SR-1a) Update is approximately 26-40 MB and takes
approximately two to three hours to download with a 28.8 modem. The download
time will depend on the speed of your Internet connection. The size of the
update depends on whether you're running a single Office 2000 application or
the entire Office 2000 Premium suite. You also have the option to install the
Office 2000 SR-1a Update from a CD. You can check the FAQ
for more information.
