Life Crisis Center logo

The Life Crisis Center has services that are available at no charge to women, men, and children who are victims of domestic violence, rape, sexual assault, and child abuse. Their toll free, anonymous hotline operates 24/7 for anyone in our community needing crisis assistance or referral information. They know that violence and abuse can affect anyone, at anytime, and at any stage of life. Their goal is to help victims grow into survivors in a violence-free environment. They also offer a wide range of classes including on site training for child abuse prevention and suicide prevention for a nominal fee. Please Call: 410-749-HELP or Message the Life Crisis Center.

The Bacchus Network logo

The BACCHUS Network™ is a university and community based network focusing on comprehensive health and safety initiatives. It is the mission of this 501(C)(3) non-profit organization to actively promote student and young adult based, campus and community-wide leadership on healthy and safe lifestyle decisions concerning alcohol abuse, tobacco use, illegal drug use, unhealthy sexual practices and other high-risk behaviors.

American College Health Association logo

Since its inception in 1920, the American College Health Association has been dedicated to the health needs of students at colleges and universities. It is the principal leadership organization for the field of college health and provides services, communications, and advocacy that help its members to advance the health of their campus communities.

CDC logo

CDC works 24/7 to protect America from health, safety and security threats, both foreign and in the U.S. Whether diseases start at home or abroad, are chronic or acute, curable or preventable, human error or deliberate attack, CDC fights disease and supports communities and citizens to do the same.

CDC increases the health security of our nation. As the nation's health protection agency, CDC saves lives and protects people from health threats. To accomplish our mission, CDC conducts critical science and provides health information that protects our nation against expensive and dangerous health threats, and responds when these arise.

Every Choice is aimed at reducing campus sexual assault, dating/domestic violence and stalking by equipping students with realistic, actionable bystander intervention tools. Every Choice is based on compelling research that shows that the most effective way to reduce violence is to encourage and empower bystanders of potentially violent situations to intervene before the violence occurs.

Pedestrian Safety Campaign logo

The Pedestrian Safety Campaign is sending a message to members of the campus and surrounding community: Please help keep pedestrians safe. With many on-campus students crossing U.S. 13 and other streets to visit restaurants and shops in the area, as well as commuter students walking to campus, pedestrians near the University share the road with motorists and cyclists every day.

A continuing campaign, including outreach to area neighborhoods, as well as a thought-provoking billboard on U.S. 13, warning that “Pedestrians don’t come with airbags,” encourages drivers to be aware of those on foot. Students also are urged to be cautious and obey the law when crossing streets.
