A support group for students who are trying to cut back or stop drinking/using!
This weekly group meeting is held on
Mondays at
11:00 a.m. and 3 p.m. In the Wellness Center, 1st floor of the Camden House (just across from the Commons on Camden Avenue)
Confidential and private discussions with others who
are trying to manage alcohol and other drug issues on a college campus.
Strategies for managing the
desire to drink/use, building healthy alternatives,
finding support from others, and managing the stresses
associated with cutting back or stopping use are
discussed.

The Lower
Shore Intergroup of Alcoholics Anonymous (LSIAA) is a
fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength
and hope with each other that they may solve their common
problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. There
are no dues or fees for AA membership. This Website is intended
to provide general information regarding Alcoholics Anonymous
and to facilitate face-to-face contact between A.A. members and
those wishing to learn about the A.A. program of recovery from

The
National Institute on
Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) defines alcohol
abuse as having one or more of the following situations happen
in 12-month period:

Continuing to drink even if you are
having problems in your relationships that are a result or
are contributed to by drinking.

An ongoing inability to meet work,
school, familial or social responsibilities.

Alcohol related legal problems
including DUIs, DWIs, and physically harming yourself or
others while drunk.

this class The Wicomico County Health Department
offers FREE Group Support programs, Nicotine Replacement
Patches (NRT) or Zyban and Individual Support sessions.
Smoking Cessation Group Support Programs held every
Thursday at noon, 108 E. Main St, Pinto Conference Room
on the 4th Floor and 5:30 p.m., 108 E. Main St. on the
3rd floor. (Must use entrance at the Market St. parking
garage top level for the 5:30 p.m. class).
NRT Patches or Zyban offered to Wicomico County
residents who attend support sessions for 10 weeks and
obtain and return a signed Medical Clearance Form and
prescription for the product. Small fee required. Call
