Salisbury University is
located on a lovely 140-acre campus in the city
of
Salisbury in
Wicomico County
on Maryland's beautiful Eastern Shore, a part of
the Delmarva Peninsula. SU is part of the
University of Maryland System.
Salisbury has a metropolitan population of 70,000. Some 7,000
students are enrolled in SU.
The city of Salisbury lies 30 miles west of the resorts at
Ocean City, Maryland,
and the
Assateague Island National Seashore.
Salisbury is 115 miles southeast of Baltimore,
Maryland, and Washington, DC. The city is 125
miles south of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and
125 miles north of Norfolk, Virginia.
Salisbury is at the conjunction of east-west U.S. Route 50
and north-south U.S. Route 13. Salisbury
University is positioned on U.S. Route 13 at the
southern edge of the city of Salisbury.
