Student Military & Veterans Association

The Student Military & Veterans Association or SMVA, is a club formed by Veterans for the primary purpose of providing networking opportunities and camaraderie amongst other Veterans, members of the Military, and anyone wanting to show their support for the troops. We want to provide a social group and support structure to help Veterans adjust to and become successful in civilian and college life. We would also like to raise awareness for benefits available to Veterans and make sure that information is distributed properly. We hope to raise money to help local military families and to send care packages to troops overseas.  The President of the SMVA is Jason Hillestad and can be contacted by email at jh80596@gulls.salisbury.edu .
