Writing Consultants

Kelly Cann Kelly Cann is a sophomore at SU and is an early childhood education major.  She's very excited to become a teacher because she loves working with kids.  Kelly is from Annapolis and works at the Naval Academy in the summertime and has a lot of fun!

Quick Facts about Kelly:  Favorite Color=Red, Favorite Singer=Jimmy Buffet!, Favorite Thing to Do:  Be with her friends!
Keith Mathias Keith Mathias is a sophomore English Literature major.  He spends most of his free time hanging with his friends and playing video games.  Keith likes to write and depending on how things go, may make Creative Writing a second major.  He is a major metal-head, but his musical tastes have expanded a lot over the last year to include bands like She Wants Revenge and The Mars Volta.  Keith is a major movie buff and his favorite color is red.
Shana Myers Shana Myers is a junior majoring in English and Secondary Education.  In her spare time, she likes to hang out with friends, go to the beach when it’s warm, and read Jodi Picoult when she’s not assigned other reading (which is rare!).  Shana is also a tour guide at SU, so say hello if you see her wearing a bright yellow shirt and leading a group of people.  She also plays intramural volleyball and is a mentor at Pinehurst Elementary School.  She came to be a consultant here because she loves working one-on-one with people and helping others realize their own strengths.

Claire Brisendine studies painting within the Art department, in addition to her two minors—Theatre and English (with a film concentration). She is especially interested in directing documentaries and dramas someday, and she plans to get a Master’s degree in directing when she has completed her undergraduate work. In her free time, Claire takes ballet classes and trains for an upcoming cross country biking trip. On her bike trip she is most looking forward to biking through the desert.

Suzanne Hogg received her Bachelors degree in English Literature and Psychology from Salisbury University last year, and is currently working toward her Masters degree in English with a concentration in English Literature. When she's not grading papers for the Comp 103 classes that she teaches or reading for her own graduate classes, she finds guilty pleasure watching endless episodes of The Office in her (practically non-existant) spare time. Before becoming a T.A., she worked as an undergraduate mentor with the Wicomico Mentoring Project and as a reading comprehension tutor for the America Reads Program in two local elementary schools. Most importantly, she met Oprah over Christmas break and now considers herself kind of a big deal.
