Simeon Ananou,  Chief Information Officer

Dr. Simeon Ananou joined Salisbury University in May 2013, as Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead the strategic direction of Information Technology at the University. As CIO, Simeon provides overall leadership, planning and management for campus-wide information technology and digital needs. He is responsible for academic and administrative technologies, including the campus network, telecommunications, IT security and policy, helpdesk services and the Integrated Media Center.

Prior to joining Salisbury University, Ananou served as Associate Provost at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania from 2008 to 2013. He also served as senior Information Technology executive at Piedmont Virginia Community College and at Ashland University in previous years.

His career started at The Ohio State University where he served in various capacities ranging from Student Assistant, Telecommunications Systems Specialist, Network Administrator then Systems Engineer at the University Network Integrated Telecommunications Systems (UNITS) in the Office of Information Technology (OIT). Simeon holds a B.A. from The Ohio State University, an MBA from Baker College in Flint, Michigan and a D.Ed. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Ananou and his wife Regine live in Salisbury with their two children.
