Scholarships
There are many types of scholarships available to
Salisbury University students. Many of the scholarships are
available to students for specific schools or areas of study.
The following scholarships provide broad-based support to
students. Each scholarship emphasizes academic achievement:
- Presidential Scholarship - A premier
scholarship offered to incoming freshmen who have shown outstanding
academic performance in high school, have excelled in the SAT, and
established a record of participation and leadership in extracurricular
activities.
- Thomas E. Bellavance Honors Scholarship- Awarded to a
freshman with outstanding credentials who will be participating in the
Bellavance Honors Program.
- Guerrieri Scholarship - Awarded to a first-time freshman who
has exhibited academic excellence in the classroom and the SAT.
- Alumni Scholarship - Awarded to a student who is a child of
an SU alum and has exhibited academic excellence in his or her studies
and on the SAT, as well as demonstrated participation in extracurricular
activities.
- "Need-Based" Scholarships - Awarded to academically talented
students based on need as determined by the Free Application for Federal
Student Aid.
- The University would be glad to let you know how you can endow a
scholarship in a specific area of interest.

Blackwell Library
The Blackwell Library is a valuable resource for the
entire Salisbury University community. Gifts are used to
purchase books, reference materials, periodicals and special
book collections.

Reunion Class Giving opportunities are abundant among the University's
four schools (Franklin P. Perdue School of Business, Samuel W. and
Marilyn C. Seidel School of Education and Professional Studies, Charles
R. and Martha N. Fulton School of Liberal Arts, Richard A. Henson School
of Science and Technology) and the many campus programs available to the
Salisbury University community.

Where the Need is Greatest
Unrestricted gifts - those not restricted for a specific
purpose - are vital for the continued success of Salisbury
University. Unrestricted gifts enable the University to fund
areas of critical need and take advantage of unexpected
opportunities that will benefit the University. Unrestricted
gifts have been used:
- as a source of funds for scholarships and financial aid for
academically talented students
- to support faculty scholars in their research and teaching
- to provide funds for innovative teaching aids and equipment to
enhance our students' learning
