January 16 - February 26
University Gallery & Atrium Gallery
A traveling exhibition of contemporary art
from the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts, Curator Maiza Hixson
shows the ample culture in its various forms that grow in secondary cities and
rural parts of the East and Midwest. Rather than bringing world-famous artists from
places like New York to investigate what it means to be "country"; this show brings together a group of authentic, diverse artists
from Appalachia to Texas to explore issues of place and class in a contemporary, rural context.
Interview Project Wednesday, February 15, 1:30 - 4:30pm
Come share your thoughts about being country.
