Leslie Yarmo (2010) is an Assistant Professor of Theatre and Costume Designer in the Department of Theatre and Dance at Salisbury University. She teaches courses in Costuming and Theatre Crafts, Costume Design, Evolution of Style, and International Study in Theatre: A Day in the Life of Ancient Rome. 

Yarmo graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Theater Arts; within two years she had received three Theatrical Costume Design Awards from the LA Weekly. She went on to receive dual M.F.A. degrees in both Costume and Set Design from the NYU Tisch School of the Arts. In addition, she holds a Certificate Moyen in French Language & Culture from the Sorbonne, University of Paris, France.

Her international credits in costume and set design for theater, opera, dance, feature film and television include the costume design for the pilot and first 3 seasons (72 episodes) of LAW & ORDER: Special Victims Unit (NBC). Ms. Yarmo has lived and worked extensively in Italy. In addition to working on numerous theater productions there, she was a consultant on the television series ROME (HBO), created a Roman costume tour, and taught as a Professor of Costume Design at the Academia Italiana di Design (International Design School for Theatre & Film).

Some of her most recent credits include costume designs for Suddenly Last Summer for the Abingdon Theater in NYC and work on the costumes for the films Cadillac Records, Baby Mama and I Am Legend. Previously, Ms. Yarmo taught Costume Design III, Design Fundamentals, and Sources of Design at SUNY Purchase College in the Theatre Conservatory Design-Tech Department.
