Dr. Leticia Ortega

Dr. Leticia Ortega is an Assistant Professor of Teacher Education at Salisbury University. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Language and Literacy Education from the Universidad Nacional del Comahue in Argentina; an M.A. in Applied Linguistics and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the Pennsylvania State University. She teaches courses in reading and language arts instruction and supervises student teachers in local schools. Her research areas include language policy, bilingualism, and digital literacies.

Dr. Ortega has presented papers at the national conventions of the National Council of Teachers of English, the International Reading Association, the National Reading Conference, and the Curriculum and Pedagogy Conference. She is a member of the National Association for Bilingual Education.
