Battery Recycling
 Salisbury University Recycling Program collects and recycles a variety of batteries to keep them out of landfills. These batteries may include carbon zinc
(regular), alkaline and rechargeable - including lithium, cadmium and nickel
battery types. Smaller batteries, ranging from button cells up to 9-volt, are
collected in specially marked repurposed plastic coffee containers that have
been distributed across the campus. A list of the buildings and collection
container locations is presented below.
Larger quantities or sizes of batteries including battery packs will be
picked up directly from departments by calling the Recycling Program at
extension 3-6283.
Lead acid or "wet" batteries and gel batteries will be picked up by directly
from departments by calling Environmental Safety at extension 6-6485.
