- Students may apply for only one (1) option, as
space is limited. They may not hold a space on one
option while waiting for notification of an
available space on another option.
- If an option is filled, students may choose to
be on the waiting list; but they cannot sign up for
another option and remain on the waiting list for
another option.
- Students will be notified at the e-mail address
on their application when the application is
received confirming that the student is in that
option. If the option is full when the application
is received, students will be notified by e-mail and
given a choice to be on the waiting list for that
program or be placed in another program.

spending money and some meals for non-meal

Equipment & Information Requests:
In certain instances, specialized clothing and/or
equipment (i.e. poncho, ground pad, sleeping bag,
polypropylene long underwear, etc.) are necessary
for the student’s comfort and safety.
Students/parents who may be concerned about the
additional cost of clothing and equipment should
call the respective course directors for cost
estimates and other questions.
Fee Waivers:
- A limited number of need-based fee waivers are
available for some options. Full or partial fee
waivers are based on financial need. Information
from students requesting need-based fee waivers will
be provided to Salisbury University’s Financial Aid
Office. That office will then assign a rating based
on financial aid being provided to that student for
the Fall 2006 academic semester. No disclosure of
information on level of financial aid will be
provided to the Office of New Student Experience or
any course director, only a rating of student
needing a higher percentage of financial aid.
- Please contact the Office of New Student
Experience at (410) 543-6100 for additional
information about need-based fee waivers.
Payment, Cancellation Fees and Refunds:

payment (no partial payments will be accepted and
will not hold a spot on an option).
- Any student opting to cancel their new student
seminar once we have received their application and
payment in full MUST provide a letter requesting to
be taken off the roster for the seminar. No request
for refund will be issued until this letter has been
received. Mail letter to: Marie B. Bradford, Program

for participation in an option and chooses not to
complete that option.

$25.00 non-refundable administrative fee will be
assessed and the balance of option cost refunded to
the student. Refund checks take approximately four
(4) to six (6) weeks to be processed. The check will
be made payable to the student and mailed to the
student’s permanent address.
- Budgets for options are based on the enrollment
limit. Options will only proceed when enrollment
meets the minimum.

all options. All students are subject to the
SU Code of Conduct.

Statement On Preseason Athletic Participation
Students may be involved in activities of the
University prior to the official opening of school
and have an opportunity to participate in a fall
sport, provided approval is granted by the coach
and/or director of athletics. It must also be
understood that missing the preseason may place the
student’s skill development behind those
participating in the preseason, which can result in
the student no making the squad that particular
year.
However, if a student is approved to be absent
from the preseason for a University event, adequate
provisions will be made by the coach for him/her to
prepare for an evaluation.
