Types of Hearings:

Informal/Pre Hearing Conference: The accused student will be given the opportunity to meet with a student conduct administrator to receive information regarding the adjudication process and review the information pertaining to the potential violation. During the meeting the student can choose to transition directly into an administrative hearing or to schedule the administrative hearing for another time.

Administrative Hearing: The accused student meets with a student conduct administrator to determine responsibility for the charges issued and to assess sanctions if the student is found responsible. Decisions will be reached by a preponderance of evidence.

Community Hearing: The accused student meets with a board which is usually comprised of one or two faculty or administrators and two or three student representatives. They meet with the student to determine responsibility for the charges issued and to assess sanctions if the student is found responsible. Decisions will be reached by a preponderance of evidence.
