  • Children's Concert October 17, 2009

    Featuring "The Composer is Dead" for orchestra and narrator, the story is by the famed Lemony Snicket, and the music is composed by Nathaniel Stookey. This work offers an innovative and unique introduction to the orchestra through a humorous story that is entertaining for both young listeners and seasoned concertgoers.
    Concert is at 3:00 p.m.
    $10 for adults, free for children accompanied by an adult.
  • Winter Concert December 12, 2009

    "Romantic Holiday" featuring Guest Violinist Anton Ivliller.

    Since giving his Carnegie Hall concerto debut with the New Chamber Orchestra of New York, American violinist Miller has appeared throughout the United States and abroad as a soloist, chamber musician, recitalist and pedagogue. Miller gave the world premiere performance in Beijing, China, of Xiogang Ye’s Last Paradise for violin and orchestra, which was taped for broadcast within Asia and subsequently released on CD. His complete discography can be found on the Dorian, Jericho, Full House, Hugo and Klavier labels.

    Selections to be performed include Violin Concerto in D major by Johannes Brahms, Overture to Russlan and Ludmilla by Mikhail Glinka, and selections by Johann Strauss and violin pieces by Kreisler

    "An Evening of Baroque Music" featuring Harpsichordist and Early Music Specialist
    Gwen Toth

    Toth is one of only a few American conductors of historical performance ensembles and orchestras. Currently, she is the director and founder of New York City’s virtuoso period instrument ensemble, ARTEK.

  • Spring Concert May 15, 2010

    "Musical Tour of Europe" featuring Jeffery Schoyen in a Performance of Haydn's Cello Concerto in C major

    Schoyen graduated with distinction from the New England Conservatory of Music where he was a student of Lawrence Lesser. He completed an M.F.A. at Carnegie Mellon University as a student of Anne Williams and a D.M.A. at Stony Brook as a student of Timothy Eddy.


All concerts are in Holloway Hall Auditorium on the campus of Salisbury University.  All concerts are at 7:30 p.m.
