About Maryland Satellite Locations

Salisbury University offers its Bachelor of Arts and Master of Social Work programs at four satellite locations throughout the State: Cecil College, Eastern Shores Higher Education Center at Chesapeake College, Southern Maryland Higher Education Center, and the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown.

These unique satellite locations allow students to complete all components of SU’s Social Work programs in their own area, from course registration to advising and field placements.  Salisbury University’s BASW and MSW programs are fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, a must for earning licensure.

Highlights

  • Curriculum for both programs are flexible, with part-time and full-time course load options.
  • All classes are offered in the evenings, and students typically come to campus twice weekly.
  • Using the latest technology, students have face-to-face, fully interactive, live video and online instruction from SU’s professional and accomplished faculty.
  • Students are placed in a variety of settings, which are local to the satellite location(s).
