Master's Program

There are several different curriculum options available for students working towards completing the Master's Program.

REGULAR FULL-TIME:

A two-year program for students with Bachelor's degrees in fields other than social work, students who graduated from a BSW/BASW program more than 5 years ago, or BSW/BASW student whose GPA is below 3.2.

REGULAR PART-TIME:

A three- to four-year program for students who fit the criteria for Regular Full-Time, but have other obligations that make full-time enrollment difficult.

ADVANCED STANDING FULL-TIME:

A one-year program for students with a BSW/BASW and an undergraduate GPA of 3.2 or above.

ADVANCED STANDING PART-TIME:

A two-year program for students with a BSW/BASW and an undergraduate GPA of 3.2 or above.

SATELLITE REGULAR PROGRAM:

A three-year program for students with Bachelor's degrees in fields other than social work, students who graduated from a BSW/BASW program more than 5 years ago, or BSW/BASW student whose GPA is below 3.2. This is for students who attend classes at one of the four satellite locations: the Eastern Shore Higher Education Center on the campus of Chesapeake College in Wye Mills, MD; University System of Maryland at Hagerstown; Cecil College Northeast campus and at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center in California, MD.

SATELLITE ADVANCED STANDING PROGRAM:

A four-semester program for students with a BSW/BASW and an undergraduate GPA of 3.2 or above. This is for students who attend classes at one of the four satellite locations: the Eastern Shore Higher Education Center on the campus of Chesapeake College in Wye Mills, MD; University System of Maryland at Hagerstown; Cecil College Northeast campus and at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center in California, MD.
