Student Clubs

Participating in clubs are a key part of the student experience at Salisbury University. There are several clubs across the SU campus that students can become involved in. In the Social Work Department, we have two student clubs: the Undergraduate Social Work Club and the National Social Work Honor Society - Phi Alpha.

Participating in these clubs are a great way to meet other students and faculty, while also becoming more involved with the larger community.

Undergraduate Social Work Club

The Undergraduate Social Work Club was honored in 2009 with the receipt of the "Outstanding Registered Student Organization" award from the Office of Student Activities. Club members take an active role in the leadership of the organization. They work to develop effective and meaningful service and fund-raising activities that benefit the larger community. Its not all work though! Club members also find time to participate in fun activities to help foster a strong connection among students. Be on the lookout of Club announcements in your University e-mail! The Club advisor is Ms. Eileen Gilheany.

Phi-Alpha

Phi-Alpha is the National Social Work Honor Society open to undergraduate and graduate students. Members of Phi-Alpha are outstanding students who are also committed to engaging in service activities that benefit the community. Please follow this link to find out more about the application process for membership in Phi-Alpha. The Phi-Alpha advisor is Karen McCabe
