Policy Guidelines
Students
SU students who violate the Smoke-Free Campus policy are
subject to disciplinary action from the University. A $75
fine may be assessed. In early fall, during the initial
implementation of the policy, one fine may be waived for smokers
who agree to attend a cessation program.
Students who receive multiple fines will be referred to the
Student Affairs Office and students may be subject to
disciplinary action. Procedures to handle such violations
(and appeals) are currently being developed.
The Smoke-Free Campus policy is part of Salisbury
University’s Code of Conduct, which applies to all currently
enrolled students and guests. To read the Code of Conduct,
