Shore CAN generates citizen action through community service to address current volunteer needs in Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester Counties on Maryland's Lower Eastern Shore by:

Identifying and publicizing current volunteer needs.
Promoting community service.
Recognizing those who serve.
Providing technical assistance and training in volunteer management.

Shore CAN brings together:

Private non-profit and public agencies which need volunteers.

Citizens who want to serve their community, explore new career possibilities or develop skills.

Organizations which want to use their human resources to address community needs, including schools and colleges, businesses, churches and civic organizations.
