Family Literacy Program
I have heard about the Family Literacy Program located in the May Literacy Center; please tell me more!
"The home is the child’s first school, the parent is the child’s first teacher, and reading is the child’s first subject."
-Barbara Bush
The Family Literacy Program teaches literacy skills to adult family members and their children. Families have fun while children learn important language and literacy skills, through reading, writing, playing and talking. In addition, parents and grandparents will learn more things to do to keep children actively interested in learning new things.
Children must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or relative to participate in this program.
