Teena Ruark Gorrow Attends Smithsonian Holiday Festival

On December 5, Teena Ruark Gorrow of the Teacher Education Department and Craig Koppie, an eagle/raptor biologist for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Chesapeake Bay Field Office, attended the Smithsonian’s Holiday Festival in Washington, D.C. Gorrow and Koppie signed copies of their book, Inside a Bald Eagle’s Nest: A Photographic Journey through the American Bald Eagle Nesting Season. The book, which captures a rare glimpse of bald eagles in their natural habitats, won The Nature Generation’s 2014 Green Earth Book Award for Young Adult Nonfiction.
