A brief listing of some of the ongoing projects involving the Theatre Program:

Maryland Summer Center for the Arts

The Maryland Summer Center for the Arts

The Maryland Summer Center for the Arts is sponsored by the Maryland State Department of Education and is an intense two-week educational program designed to submerge middle and high school students into different areas of the visual and performing arts. ( Directed by our own Robert Smith )

USITT

USITT

In the Spring of 2005, several of our students made the trek to Toronto for the International Conference of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology [USITT].  This University-sponsored trip gave the students the opportunity to meet theatre professionals, talk to potential employers and "play with the big kids."

The venue in 2006 was Louisville, Kentucky where noted designer Ming Cho Lee was honored guest and book-signer.

Professional Development Workshop (Spring 2005):

In Spring 2005, Salisbury University Theatre held its first Professional Workshop in which professionals from various areas of the theatre/performance world gave workshops and held a panel discussion about life in the "real world."
