In
the Spring of 2005, several of our students made the trek to Toronto for the
International Conference of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology [USITT].
This University-sponsored trip gave the students the opportunity to meet
theatre professionals, talk to potential employers and "play with the big
kids."
The
venue in 2006 was Louisville, Kentucky where noted designer Ming Cho Lee
was honored guest and book-signer.
Professional Development
Workshop (Spring 2005):
In Spring 2005, Salisbury University
Theatre held its first Professional Workshop in which professionals from
various areas of the theatre/performance world gave workshops and held a
panel discussion about life in the "real world."
