A. Smart Start Your Business
The Smart Start Workshop is a standard workshop which is offered every month in each of the counties we serve. This workshop is strongly recommended for new business start-ups. For the cost of the workshop you will receive the SBDC Small Business Start-up Kit and, training time with a SBDC counselor for that county. The presenters will address legal, financing, accounting and insurance issues when starting a new business in Maryland. Consulting each of these professionals alone would cost hundreds of dollars for your small business, but we offer the same treatment at a fraction of the cost. After the workshop, you can attend counseling sessions with your SBDC counselor free of charge.

B. MDSBDC Virtual Classroom
The Maryland SBDC is proud to offer a series of comprehensive online courses that teach entrepreneurs the 3 M's: Money, Marketing and Management. Choose from over 25 topics including: "Targeting your Market", "Managing Your Cashflow", "Building a Website" and more! Each course is approximately 45 to 90 minutes long and contains audio, high-end graphics, interactive case studies, and worksheets.
