Description:
Leash On Life is a volunteer group that works to better the lives of animals. Students volunteer their time at The Humane Society of Wicomico County and other animal agencies in the community, performing such tasks as socializing, walking, training, and bathing. The desired outcome is to make the animals better for adoption so that they may spend as little of their lives as possible in a kenneled situation. Students also hold fundraisers that will benefit the lives of individual animals. Covering medical expenses for a specific animal in need could save its life or help control the abundance of unplanned offspring.
