Students' Schedule

Fall 2012 orientation will occur August 23 through August 26. Welcome Week takes place from August 27 through August 31.

Attendance at orientation is mandatory for new students.

Class of 2016 Move-in
Various athletic teams and Greek and student organizations are on hand to help.

Survival of Arrival

Commuter Student Check-In

Check-in with Commuter Connections to receive information, make tie-dyed T-shirts and enjoy refreshments.

Students need to be seated for Convocation no later than 8:30 a.m. On-campus students receive a meeting time and location from their Resident Assistants. Commuter students meet orientation leaders in the Guerrieri Center, Wicomico Room, no later than 8:15 a.m. to walk to Red Square.

Convocation welcomes new students to the Salisbury academic community. The featured speaker is Jennifer Thompson, discussing the new student reader Picking Cotton.

Letters to St. Jude’s
Guerrieri Center, Wicomico Room In honor of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s 50th anniversary celebration of “Finding cures and Saving Children,” the Class of 2016 writes letters of encouragement. The letters serve as a wonderful boost for patients who are staying at St. Jude, as well as a thoughtful, friendly note of support that will put a smile on a child’s face.

The Volunteer Pledge

Guerrieri Center, Outside Gazebo SU’s Class of 2016 is invited to participate in making The Volunteer Pledge. The pledge states that each volunteer will devote a certain number of hours each semester to community service. Students are able to pledge their service toward beautifying the community, protecting the environment, serving those in need, and volunteering with children and the elderly.
