Residency Office

Located on the second floor of Holloway Hall (Room 223), the Residency Office is responsible for determining the eligibility of current and prospective students to be billed at the in-state tuition rate. The office has normal operating hours of 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. During the summer, the office hours are 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM.

The policy used to make this determination is the Board of Regents of the University System of Maryland "Policy on Student Classification for Admission, Tuition and Charge-Differential Purposes" as amended on June 23, 2006. This policy is used to determine if a student qualifies for in-state tuition rates and is separate and distinct from a student being considered a Maryland resident. Please see the link to the policy (on the left hand side of this page) for a description of all criteria needed to be satisfied in order to qualify for in-state tuition.
