The Residency Office is responsible for determining the eligibility of current and prospective students to be billed at the in-state tuition rate. The office is located in Holloway Hall 223 and has normal operating hours of 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. During the summer, the office hours are 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM.

The policy used to make this determination is the Board of Regents of the University System of Maryland "Policy on Student Classification for Admission, Tuition and Charge-Differential Purposes" as amended on February 15, 2008. A student's ability to qualify for in-state tuition residency is separate and distinct from a student being considered a Maryland resident.
