Located on the second floor of Holloway Hall (Room 223), the Residency
Office is responsible for determining the eligibility of current and
prospective students to be billed at the in-state tuition rate. The
office has normal operating hours of 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM Monday
through Friday. During the summer, the office hours are 8:00 AM until
4:30 PM.
The policy used to make this determination is the Board of Regents of the
University System of Maryland "Policy on Student Classification for
Admission, Tuition and Charge-Differential Purposes" as amended on June
23, 2006. This policy is used to determine if a student qualifies for
in-state tuition rates and is separate and distinct from a student being
considered a Maryland resident. Please see the link to the policy (on
the left hand side of this page) for a description of all criteria
needed to be satisfied in order to qualify for in-state tuition.
