Swap a Class

  1. Enter the University's Web site at www.salisbury.edu. Follow the link at the top right corner of the main page for GullNet.
  2. On the left side of the page you will see a button that reads "Log On." Clicking here will allow you to enter your user ID and password to gain entry to your GullNet account.
  3. Enter your user ID and password.
  4. If you have not set up your GullNet menu, first click on the layout link, select three columns and proceed by clicking the personalized content link. Check menu and deselect all other options. Then click save.
  5. On the left-hand side you will see a menu bar that lists "My Favorites," "SU Custom," "Self-Service" and more. Click on "Self-Service."
  6. A group of links will appear. On the left side, second from the top is a link for enrollment. Click this link. This will bring up a group of links that will have to do with class enrollment.
  7. In the bottom left corner, there will be a link that reads "Enrollment: Swap Classes." This will allow you to drop one class while simultaneously adding another. If this is what you want to do, click this link.
  8. Select the term the class swap will be in. Click the circle next to the term and click continue.
  9. At the next screen, select the class you would like to drop. You must be enrolled in the class in order to drop it, not simply have it in your shopping cart. Select the class from the drop-down menu.
  10. Next, enter the information for the class you want to add to your schedule. If you know the four-digit class number, you can enter it here and click enter. If you do not know the four-digit class number, select "Class Search" from the drop-down menu and click "Search."
  11. Select the class subject for the class you are adding from the drop-down menu and enter the course number in the box provided or you can search by additional criteria.
  12. Uncheck the "show up in classes only" box if you would like to see all the available sections. Then click the green search button.
  13. Now the classes that meet your criteria will be displayed. Open classes will have a green circle next to them. Find a course that meets your needs and click the green "select class" button to the right of it.
  14. This will bring up the details for the class. If it is not what you want, click the blue cancel button to return to the previous screen. If this is the class you would like to add, click the green next button.
  15. Confirm your selection; double check that the first class is the class you want to drop and the second is the one you want to add. If everything is correct, click the green "Finish Swapping" button.
  16. This will bring you to a confirmation screen that tells you if the swap was successful. If it was successful, there will be a green checkmark next to the class. If there was a red X next to the class, the swap was not successful. Read the message to find out what went wrong.
