We are excited to share with you the 2010 Salisbury University Climate Action Plan. The purpose of the SU Climate Action Plan is to define a strategy to reduce and offset our greenhouse gas emissions to zero by the year 2050. The plan was developed by a team comprised of students, faculty and staff during the summer and fall of 2009. The Climate Action Plan is a framework which will shape the University’s efforts over the coming 40 years, while being flexible enough to adjust to unanticipated technology, challenges and opportunity.

We encourage all members of the community to review the plan and use the online tool to share your suggestions.

What’s Next?

The Climate Action Plan is a living document which will be revisited in alternate years. The University Sustainability Committee will review suggestions, make decisions regarding modifications to the 2010 plan, and provide progress reports to the campus community during revision process.

Please plan to take an active role in the implementing the Climate Action Plan in the coming years.
