Marking a Decade of Distinction: 2000-2010
Janet Dudley-Eshbach, Ph.D., became the eighth president of
Salisbury University in June 2000, the first woman to hold the
office in the University’s 85-year history. Her decade of
leadership has been transformational. The number of students
from diverse families has more than doubled, academic programs
have expanded, international education has thrived and the
University has been highly ranked in national guidebooks.
Town-Gown ties have continued to flourish, and currently the
campus, serving some 8,400 students, is on a building boom.
During her tenure, SU has earned a reputation as A Maryland
University of National Distinction. Please click on the
years below to see a chronological listing of selected
highlights celebrating a decade of achievements by students,
faculty, staff, alumni and University friends.
