Concentration in Global Cultural Studies

Students must take:
  • 27 hours from courses in at least three disciplines, with 24 hours (as specified)  from Groups One, Two, Three, and Four,

  • and 3 hours of elective credit from any group.

The Global Cultural Studies Concentration requires a 9 hour regional specialization in courses from two different departments. Regional specializations include Europe, Russia/Central Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East. This is a non-additive requirement; the hours may be taken from courses used to satisfy the other concentration requirements. Students must also take at least three hours in a geographic area outside this regional specialization.
