Over the past few months investigators with the Wicomico County Narcotics Task Force have noticed a slight increase in the sale of heroin and related paraphernalia in the Salisbury and Fruitland areas.
Since December 2005 local law enforcement agencies have investigated five cases involving drug overdoses. Four of those have specifically involved the use of heroin. One case resulted in the death of the victim. In the remaining three cases the individuals were found in critical condition; they recovered following emergency treatment.
