The Wicomico Bureau of Investigation released the following on 3/24/05:
NARRATIVE: On March 23, 2005, members of the Wicomico Bureau of Investigation, assisted by deputies from the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office and police officers from the Salisbury University Police Department, executed a search warrant at the residence of a Salisbury University Police Officer in Cambridge, MD. This police officer is the subject of an open and ongoing investigation into multiple allegations of credit card fraud and theft being conducted by the Wicomico Bureau of Investigation at the request of Salisbury University Police. Seized pursuant to this search warrant was a Gateway computer confirmed stolen from Salisbury University along with multiple other items potentially relating to the investigation. The police officer was charged with one count of theft over $500 on a District Court warrant and taken into custody by the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office, where he was released on personal recognizance. Additional charges are still under investigation. The Salisbury University Police Department suspended this police officer.
SUSPECTS: Dennis R. Bradford, 47 years of age, Cambridge, MD
CHARGES: Theft over $500
DISPOSITION: Release on personal recognizance
