On the evening of Wednesday, 12/3/03, during dinner time, a laptop computer was stolen from an unlocked room on the 4th floor of Severn Hall.
During the same time frame, a cell phone, wallet, and contents including credit cards, etc. were stolen from an unlocked room on the 2nd floor of Severn Hall.
Both rooms were unlocked, and the residents were out.
During the investigation of these crimes, University Police officers were told by residents that they normally leave their rooms unlocked.
Thefts increase this time of year. At the risk of being redundant, *LOCK YOUR ROOM*
