On Friday, 8/15/03, University Police received a report of a wallet and contents stolen from an office on the 2nd floor of Fulton Hall. The theft occurred between 11:30 a.m. and 3:10 p.m. while the occupant was out of the office for a meeting. The wallet was taken from a purse that was sitting on the floor next to a desk. In addition to the wallet, a credit card was removed from a checkbook.
Periodically, University Police will send special bulletins to the campus community in order to keep everyone informed so that they will be better prepared to protect themselves and their property.
Office Security Tips:
- Do not leave your wallet/purse in an unlocked desk or cabinet, or out in the open.
- Lock your desk when you leave the office.
- Lock unoccupied rooms and offices even if you leave for only a minute.
It takes a thief only seconds to enter an open room and steal your property. Report suspicious persons or activity to the University Police, x3-6222 or 410-543-6222.
