The residents were pushed to the floor and told not to move. During the incident, the following items were stolen: Nintendo Game Cube, Playstation Controller, a wallet and contents, cell phone, music CD's, video games and a back pack and contents.

The victims were able to give partial descriptions of two of the 4 or 5 suspects:

  • White male, approx. 6'0" tall, medium build, with light brown hair and a goatee.
  • African American male, 5'8", short hair, wearing a blue Carolina fleece sweatshirt, dark jeans and possible brown Timberland boots.

Crime Prevention Tips
Do not let strangers enter your room. It is recommended that students keep room doors locked at all times. This includes if you are only out of your room for a few minutes, when you are in your room and especially when you are sleeping. Be sure to report suspicious persons in and around residence halls and do not prop doors open. It is a good idea to not let unauthorized persons into residence halls who want to "tailgate" in with you by following you in or by entering a residence hall while the door is open as you exit. All residence halls are for the use of bona fide residents and their guests.

We must all do our part to keep our residence halls safe for the people who live there and for the security of everyone's property. To report suspicious persons or activity, please call the University Police immediately at 410-543-6222. Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to call University Police.
