Horticulture Department
- In 2004 Salisbury University received a certificate from the
Beautification Committee of the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce. The
certificate reads as followed:
"The Beautification Committee of the
Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce appreciates the pride you have taken in
our community by landscaping and caring for your property. Thank you for
your leadership."
- Recipient of the "Maryland Plant Community GREEN AWARD"
The GREEN AWARD is a
green-colored date plate for display on the wooden PLANT plaque. Although
simple in
form, it represents the highest PLANT honor to recognize a community that has
developed a well established urban
forestry program. This coveted award is reserved for programs that are
funded, fully functional and staffed by
qualified professionals.
