Salisbury University faculty and staff joined President Janet Dudley-Eshbach to celebrate the season during the annual President's Holiday Social in the Fireside Lounge of the Guerrieri University Center. Festivities included music from SU's Squawkapella student a cappella group, which launched its performance with a witty rendition of The Twelve Days of Christmas. Its members also led the room in a sing-along. The President announced nominees for this year's University System of Maryland Board of Regents Faculty and Staff Awards for Excellence. Nominees are Dr. Jennifer Bergner of the Mathematics and Computer Sciences Department, Dr. Anjali Pandey of the English Department, Dr. Lisa Seldomridge of the Nursing Department, Robin Hoffman of the Instructional Design and Delivery Office, Jason Rhodes of the Public Relations Office and Stacie Siers of the Seidel School of Education and Professional Studies. Others received SU sweatshirts, water bottles and other gear during a series of door prize drawings. The President also conducted a moment of silence for the Virginia Tech campus community, which was under lockdown following a tragic shooting incident. SU's commitment to civic engagement continued with an opportunity for those in attendance to donate non-perishable goods for the Maryland Food Bank.
