Federal Perkins Loan Office

The Federal Perkins Loan Offices mission and purpose is to assist in the maintenance and collection of loan repayments for monies lent to student borrowers while as an undergraduate but repaying after graduation or leaving school. This office keeps each student borrower informed of his/her rights and responsibilities in the federal repayment guidelines of their Perkins Student Loan.

Federal Perkins Loan Office Hours of Operation:
The Federal Perkins Loan Maintenance & Collection Office is located in Holloway Hall, Room 218. Our normal office hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm during the regular school year and until 4:30 pm during the summer (June-August).

The Perkins Loan Program

The Perkins Loan Program is a Title IV, Federal Financial Aid Program revolving, low interest loan (5%) to help you pay for your college education. Salisbury University is the lender and collection agent for this program. The University's Financial Aid Office awards this loan based on a students current FAFSA information on file and only awards the Perkins Loan to full-time undergraduates who show exceptional financial need

Federal Perkins Loans Maintenance & Collection

Salisbury University currently contracts with Heartland ESCI for all of its billing and account maintenance but works directly with borrowers when issues arise or accounts become past due and in default. This office is also responsible for the collection/repayment of all outstanding loans as well as approving deferments, cancellations, special billings and loan rehabilitation.
