Honors
Beta Alpha Psi:
This society is recognized as the
professional business and financial information fraternity.
They recognize academic excellence and complement member’s
formal education by providing interaction among students,
faculty and professionals, and fosters life-long growth, service
and ethical conduct. Students must achieve a 3.0 overall GPA or
higher.
Beta Gamma Sigma:
This is the
highest honor you can receive in the business school and is the
only scholastic honor society recognized by the International
Association of Management Education (AACSB). This honor’s
society is open to both graduate and undergraduate business
students. In order to be eligible for this honor, you must
either be in the top 7% of your junior class, the top 10% of
your senior class, or the top 20% of your graduate class.
Dean’s List:
This honors award is
issued each semester by the school deans’ offices. It is
composed of students who have at least 12 hours of classes with
grades of A, B, or C with a GPA of 3.5 or higher for the
semester.
Graduation with Honors:
In order to
be eligible for graduation with honors, students must complete a
minimum of 56 graded hours of coursework at Salisbury
University, in which at least 30 hours of 300/400 level courses
are completed with grades of A, B, or C. In addition, students
must have a minimum cumulative Salisbury University grade point
average as follows: cum laude: 3.5; magna com laude
3.7; summa cum laude 3.9.
