Perdue Advising

Adding and Dropping Courses

Dropping a Course:

  • When a student drops a course during the Add/Drop period, it does not show on the student's permanent record
  • Dropping a course can be done through Gull Net
  • Add/Drop period can be found on the Registrar Calendar

Withdrawing from a Course:

  • When a student withdraws from a course after the Add/Drop period has ended, the student will receive a W grade on transcript
  • Withdrawing from a course can be done through Gull Net  
  • Add/Drop period can be found on the Registrar Calendar

Adding a Course:

  • Adding a course can be done through Gull Net during the Add/Drop period
  • Add/Drop period can be found on the Registrar Calendar


If course is closed student may ask the department chair if there is room for the student to take the course. The student must then have the chair sign the add slip and then take it to the Registrars Office for processing.

It is up to the chairs discretion to sign the add slip.
