Tom Prunty State Farm Insurance and Financial Services is an insurance and financial service agency, providing property and casualty insurance for auto, home and life as well as business and health. Tom is also a Registered Representative with a Security License to manage stocks, bonds and retirement. Tom also possesses his National and State Mortgage License. Because State Farm has the 10th largest bank in the nation, the agency also prepares auto loans, mortgages, home equity lines as well as all traditional banking products. Tom is proud to be Bank Certified and Long-Term Care Certified. Tom’s agency is located directly across the street from Salisbury University in the Caldwell Banker building, and due to its central location, is licensed in both Maryland and Delaware.

Tom became a State Farm agent/owner four years ago on February 1, 2011. Previously, Tom was the vice president of sales and marketing for First State Packaging. Tom was with First State for 22 years, working his way up from a nine-year salesman to sales manager for two years and then vice president for 11 years. Since opening four years ago, Tom has become one of the top agents in the State of Maryland for banking products, finishing number one in 2013. This success goes hand-in-hand with the agency’s auto and home-owners since they are now a one-stop shop for financial needs.

It is the mission of his agency to grow and build a dynamic team of licensed professionals who are committed to excellence. Tom Prunty’s team consists of six members. He has four full-time team members and two part-time interns who both should be full-time team members by May. Both are Salisbury University students and came to Tom Prunty State Farm for an internship opportunity. Tom’s agency has a growing Spanish-speaking market, and he is excited to employ two bilingual team members to service this growing population.
