State Farm Logo State Farm has been the largest auto insurer for more than 90 years and the largest homeowners insurer for over 80 years. State Farm is larger than GEICO, Nationwide and All-State put together! State Farm has over $67 billion in its bank and over $82 billion in worth with zero debt. This allows State Farm to have competitive pricing because they do not have to service debt and then take care of their clients. State Farm, based in Bloomington, IL, is a mutual company owned by the policy-holders who buy its insurance, so the company does not have to pay stock holders and then take care of its clients.

Tom became a State Farm agent/owner four years ago on February 1, 2011. Previously, Tom was the vice president of sales and marketing for First State Packaging. Tom was with First State for 22 years, working his way up from a nine-year salesman to sales manager for two years and then vice president for 11 years. Since opening four years ago, Tom has become one of the top agents in the State of Maryland for banking products, finishing number one in 2013. This success goes hand-in-hand with the agency’s auto and home-owners since they are now a one-stop shop for financial needs.

It is the mission of his agency to grow and build a dynamic team of licensed professionals who are committed to excellence. Tom Prunty’s team consists of six members. He has four full-time team members and two part-time interns who both should be full-time team members by May.
