Hayley Dize Received City of Salisbury Award
Hayley is a senior double majoring in elementary education and early childhood education. She was one of 15 selected to win $1,000 in the 2017 Entrepreneurship Competitions first round Invest in my Idea portion.
She also recently was awarded the City of Salisbury Award valued at $5,000 in cash and services. Laura Soper, director of business development for the City of Salisbury, and Bill Burke, SU’s director of entrepreneurship activities, presented Hayley the check at the October 20 3rd Friday event in Salisbury’s Downtown.
Hayley plans to open Haya’s Boutique in Downtown Salisbury after graduation and will do some “pop up” store business events in the meantime.
Hayley is being assisted by John Hickman with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and will be one of the Micro-Resident Entrepreneurs in the Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Economic Development Hub, where she will receive support as she launches her business.
