Student Spotlight: Connor Cooney
This summer I had the opportunity to work at the Central Intelligence Agency. While at the CIA under the Undergraduate Scholarship Program, I worked as a logistics officer. I learned what it was like to work with a global supply chain and what was needed to defend our nation from adversaries. Under the Undergraduate Scholarship Program, I am committed to working for the CIA upon graduation and maintaining over a 3.0 GPA while attending Salisbury.
I supported the mission of the CIA, which is to preempt threats and further U.S. national security objectives by collecting intelligence that matters, producing objective all-source analysis, conducting effective covert action as directed by the President and safeguarding the secrets that help keep our nation safe.
I learned the importance of security classifications as well as what it takes to be an intelligence officer in the CIA. My time in the Perdue School of Business has helped me prepare for a career at the CIA, and I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work for the Central Intelligence Agency this past summer and I am excited to see what my future holds.
