SU’s Beta Gamma Sigma chapter qualified as a Highest Honors level chapter for the 2015-2016 academic year.

Frank Shipper presented at Oxford Conference on Business and Poverty.

Kashi Khazeh presented the co-authored paper (with Leonard Arvi and Gene Hahn) “A Roadmap to Currency Risk Management in Emerged and Emerging Markets: A Value-at-Risk Approach” at the 36th International Business Research Conference at Ryerson University, in Toronto, Canada (July 2016). Mike Koval presented a paper titled “How Shorebilly Brewing Company Won the Trademark Battle but Lost the War: A Cautionary Tale for Entrepreneurs” at the national conference of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business held in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in August.

Ani Mathers, Bin Wang and Sara Wang’s paper “Innovation and Price Informativeness” was accepted for publication at Financial Management. The forthcoming paper can be found online:

Hong Yao, Ying Wu and Kathie Wright were invited to give summer lectures in June at the School of International Business of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE) – one of SU’s partner schools in China. According to the DUFE assistant dean, students gave these well-received lectures “superior evaluations.”

Ying Wu was invited to give two seminars on the Chinese economy for BNUBS-IBS International Summer School at Beijing Normal University (BNU) attended by 33 international students from Australia, Brazil, Chile, South Africa and United Kingdom. (Picture below)
